The violet flame works in the four lower bodies (physical, etheric, astral (emotions), mental), changing the speed of their vibration.

What does the violet flame do when it penetrates your atoms?

The Lords give the following explanation.

The violet flame transmutes any negativity that gets stuck in your spirit or physical being. This includes everything from seeds of self-loathing to physical viruses. When the violet flame starts working, it travels through the clogged spaces between electrons and nuclei. It expels these particles of dense substance from your body and destroys them. In this process, negative energy is transmuted into positive energy and restored to its natural purity.

The violet flame acts as a powerful purifier. The violet flame is kind of like soap. Soap removes dirt from your clothes using the positive and negative charges of atoms. It works because each of its molecules has two sides—a side that is attracted to dirt and a side that is attracted to water. The dirt-loving side attracts dirt just like a magnet attracts paper clips when you bring it up to the box containing them. The water-loving side “sticks” to the water, which carries away the dirt.

When we invoke the violet flame, it creates a polarity between the nucleus of the atom and the white-fiery core of the flame. The nucleus, being matter, becomes the negative pole; the white-fiery core of the violet flame, being Spirit, becomes the positive pole.
The interaction between the nucleus of an atom and the light in the violet flame causes vibrations. These vibrations set in motion the densities trapped between electrons that orbit the nucleus. When this condensed substance loosens, the electrons begin to move more freely and what weighs down the atom is thrown into the violet flame and removed.

But unlike soap, the violet flame doesn’t just surround and remove debris, it transforms it into pure light energy. The electrons freed from this debris begin to move more freely, thus increasing our vibrations and moving us forward into a higher spiritual state.
