What Are Attunements/Empowerments?

There is a complete continuous spectrum of all possible energies in the space of the Universe. Part of this spectrum falls into physical reality, the rest of the ranges are outside physical reality – in the subtle planes of being.

Initiation, Attunement, Empowerment create an energy portal on the subtle plane, through which an energy ray of a certain spectrum “seeps through” into your subtle structures. Many energy attunement systems used in Reiki and others are built on this.

During the adjustment, carried out by direct contact on the physical plane, a portal is created through which energy of a strictly defined spectrum begins to flow. Such tuning can be carried out by other methods as well – for example, by the influence of sound, the influence of symbols, texts, moreover, tuning to the same channel can be done by several different methods, different combinations of symbols or sounds. Tuning can be carried out by pronouncing a sacred command mentally or aloud.

Tuning only creates a portal, that is, it opens the way to the Source of energy, and the source is the entire Universe, filled with different energies from the Day of Creation. If a person actively practices, uses these energies, the portal expands and passes more and more energy, which is why the effectiveness of the impact is different for different people. The secret of mastery is in practice!

If the person who received the attunement does not use these energies, the portal contracts, but it can be reopened if necessary. And only in case of rejection and mistrust, the portal is closed.

Energetic Attunement, Empowerment, Initiation is the process of transmission by one person or a spiritual guide of a specific energy structure to another person, his energy body and energy centers (chakras), which allows the recipient to become a permanent channel of this special energy.

A certain energy has a certain energetic vibration. To get access to it, you need to pick up “energy keys”. One of these reliable “picks” is the energy tuning. You get the opportunity to tune your own energy field to the vibrations of the energy channel, work with it and interact.

In Reiki terminology, ’empowerment’ and ‘attunement’ used to mean the same thing : Attunement – from the analogy of ‘tuning in’ a radio.

In the Reiki sense, tuning the student in to the Universal Life force Energy – or rather to specific frequencies within that all-pervasive Energy: the ‘frequencies’ otherwise referred to as the ‘Reiki Energy’Empowerment – coming from a Japanese esoteric Buddhist concept: kanjo – a rite in which an individual receives a ‘spiritual permission’ i.e, is spiritually/esoterically empowered to work with a particular practice, or manifest a particular ability – in this case the Reiki ability (some folk still refer to the initiation symbol (DKM) as the ’empowerment’ symbol).

So, ’empowerment’ and ‘attunement’ were just different ways of looking at the process of ‘getting’ the Reiki Phenomenon (Other folk sometimes spoke of the process in terms of bringing the individual into ‘alignment’ with the Reiki capability.

Yet others talked in terms of ‘re-patterning’ the individual’s field – as if re-programming some form of ‘psychic-energy computer’ to enable it to interact with the subtle energy-phenomenon that is Reiki…. Or with another type of energy)
